Jean Lande Hennessey resident of Hanover NH for 47 years, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9th at 5:20 pm. at Mary Hitchcock Hospital, in Lebanon, NH.
She lived 77 full years
— crusading tirelessly for causes that she believed in
— leaving a lasting mark with philanthropy, and advocating for the environment and the advancement of women.
Her gracious generosity, emthusiasm and commitment, wit and wisdom, will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service for Jean L. Hennessey was held on Sunday, June 27th at 2 pm, in Rollins Chapel at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.
As a wife and mother she leaves behind her husband John, of nearly 56 years; her daughter Martha, her husband Steve and three children; her son John and his wife Derna; and her deceased sister’s four children, and their families, to whom she was a dedicated "second mother" for 24 years. She is also survived by her older brother Philip, and his wife Darlene, of Seattle.
She, and her husband John, moved to Kendal at Hanover, in March 2001.
